Italy may have to play next year's Six Nations home games away from Rome's Stadio Flaminio after doubts have been raised about building work.
"Regarding the reconstruction of the Stadio Flaminio, the (Italian
rugby federation president Giancarlo) Dondi has said that that the works
at the moment have stopped for structural checks," the federation said in
a statement.
"He is very worried about using the site for home matches in the next Six Nations in February and March 2008."
Genoa has been mooted in the past as a possible alternative venue to the ageing stadium.
