South African players' and management's reaction following their 15-6 Rugby
World Cup final victory over England at Stade de France.
Captain John Smit: "It's a wonderful feeling, finishing here with the World Cup. It has been a long four years. There have been real highs and real lows and today we had a lot of support from the 45 million South Africans."
Lock and man-of-the-match Victor Matfield: "This is awesome. We worked for four years for this. We knew we were going to have to take it to them.
"The emotions are greater than I ever thought. I can't wait to get back home. I can't wait to see all the South Africans."
Loose forward Schalk Burger: "We didn't want to make any mistakes because we knew that both defences were good and so at the end we didn't have a lot of opportunities."
Prop Os du Randt: "I don't remember the first one, it's too long ago, but I'm still enjoying this one. It's definitely good to win. I think all the guys put the hard work in and it's just great to be out here."
Wing and tournaments leading tryscorer Bryan Habana: "It has been wonderful, the seven weeks. I really appreciate all the support here at the Stade de France.
