Former Welsh rugby centre Ray Gravell has died aged 56 of a suspected heart attack.
The former Llanelli, Wales and British and Irish Lion
had been on holiday with his family in Mallorca.
The WRU said Gravell "epitomised the passion, flair and dignity of his beloved Welsh nation".
He made his debut for Wales in 1975 and went on to make 23 appearances for his beloved country, taking part in winning Grand Slams in 1976 and 1978, as well as playing in all four tests on the Lions' South Africa tour in 1980.
Once his playing career ended in 1985, Gravell became a successful actor and rugby broadcaster.
Earlier this year he had his lower right leg amputated as a result of complications from diabetes.
