Former All Black skipper and Canterbury stalwart Todd Blackadder will take over as the new coach of Tasman after Dennis Brown stepped down last week.
Brown left his post with a year still left to run on his contract and agreed
to cut ties with the province by mutual agreement.
Blackadder has been serving as Tasman's director of rugby but takes the job with plenty of previous experience, having been a player/coach of Scottish club Edinburgh once leaving New Zealand in 2003.
He also assisted Australian Matt Williams with the Scottish national team before returning home to help out the amalgamation of Nelson Bays and Marlborough, as well as taking on a role with the Crusaders in this years Super 14 competition.
